To welcome new racers to SMCC, we currently offer your first 2 meetings free of charge. You may participate in 3 race meetings or for upto 6 weeks (whichever is shortest) without club membership or your own insurance cover. After this you will need to show proof of either BRCA membership or an alternative insurance. Whilst it is not compulsory, we would encourage visitors to join SMCC, as becoming a member of the club gives you the following benefits : Scoring points in the club championship Reduced Race and Practice Fees A say in how the club is run and the right to vote in the club AGM Membership of the BRCA (Required for insurance)
When you complete a club membership form you will be required to give 3 frequency choices (or specify 2.4 for those using Spectrum) and also a Personal Transponder number (if you have one).
